(inventory # AA-211)
We feel that this is a very early example of a nice hanging
corner cupboard. The interior still shows signs of the old paint.
The back is fastened with square cut nails. The face of the cupboard
is all made of quartersawn oak and you will note some of the details that
are typical of early primitive pieces. Beaded moldings around the
opening of the door. Mortised and tenoned door with a wooden pin
showing and of course the raised panel in the center. The hinges
are the original "H" hinges, however, the escutcheon is a good brass reproduction
appropriate for the period.
