This Victorian Era Art Glass Compote is a different style than the normal Bridesbaskets.  The bowl is a satin cased glass with a deep center drop that fits inside the hole of the tall stand that it sits on.  The unusual color combination flows from a pink center to a green edge and you can see the molded form of the edge.  The gilt frame has four griffins standing guard on each corner.  The tall reeded legs end in pawfeet and a braced stretcher.  Gold chains drop from the top rim to add a little more Victorian flair.  No markings on the frame or bowl.  One leg of the frame shows a little bend in it- which you can see in the photo.  Otherwise, very good condition.
