We don't believe that these two pieces are from the 1860's as they are meant to appear- they are considerably more modern.  However, if you are willing to live with an older reproduction, these two partners really fill a niche.  The marble tops are white marble with a good grey pattern.  One of the tops has a stain and a section where the marble has lost it's polish.  Both pieces of marble are not high polished.  Note the doors open on opposite sides.  The 3/4 columns and corners are a distinctive Victorian touch.  Raised panels in the doors.  Wood knobs with magnetic catches on the doors.  A single shelf inside.  One door has an uneven board on the top of the frame (right stand).  The finish is an older one in decent condition.
