(inventory # V-109)
This is such a terrific piece of furniture! It is so
rich with all the Eastlake details, moldings, stick and ball arch, twisted
spindles, and hand carved accents. There are beveled glass
curio cabinets at the top of each side and candlestands below them.
The 5 drawers below in the base have the original cast angel hardware.
The cupboards below are raised paneled designs that accent the raised panels
on the sides. Even the hinges have the Eastlake style casting details.
All of the piece is constructed of beautiful quartersawn oak with poplar
as a secondary wood. The five beveled mirrors have all been resilvered
but you may notice some old "clams" in two of the original mirrors.
We have a key that works all of the locks. A very impressive piece
that is built to last.
