Black Amethyst or Black Milkglass is used as the base and font for this lamp with hand painted floral designs including Lilly of the Valley and dogwood or Wild Rose in the style of Mary Gregory.  The base replicates an original oil lamp with the "Prince and Symmons" label on the knob.  Electrified originally with silk cord and now holding a simple white shade (not original).  The light is a double cluster with independent chain pulls that gives off a very generous amount of light.
