Jason is the Wood Shop Manager for Up the Creek Antiques. |
Jason
By the age of fifteen, much of my time after school and on weekends was spent with a cloud of dust in my Father's workshop. Surrounded by the skilled tradesmen at Up the Creek Antiques, I sanded. While I sanded, I watched, and under the guidance of those seasoned woodworkers, I was soon making small repairs and turning out simple carvings. The past twenty years have moulded me as only experience can, and I've developed into a talented craftsman like the men who first taught me. Though my father's antique business often challenges me
with a pile of sticks and a request to restore it to its original glory
as a desk or dresser, I spend much of my time with Classic Creations (my
own business). Working on client projects, like a new mantle or King
sized bed, can be both time consuming and frustrating but I take
great pride in the final product. My client's satisfaction when presented
with the end results makes it all worth while.
