209 North Tower
(When we purchased it, the Ugly Duckling.)

It looks like a bombed out building here, but wait!

This shows the new windows installed above, the main frame for the stucco work is in place,
and the panels are in place around our show room windows.

A little closer everyday.

Finished at last!
September, 2004
Now we start working on the upstairs.

Archival photos of the building showing it as a Woolworth's building around 1930, after the Hotel was abandoned.
Note the treatment above the upper windows. This is the direction we are headed for the upper level.

UP THE CREEK has MOVED!
April of 2004 we  purchased a vintage 1910 building at 209 North Tower, Centralia (a mere three blocks away from our old location) in order to showcase our antique furnishings and Classic Creations pieces in a setting that will totally complement our inventory.  We have renovated the exterior of this building removing the "modernization" that previous owners had done as we return to the original look of our vintage 1912 building.
As of July 1st, 2004 you can find us firmly ensconced in this wonderful old building.  The interior has been restored to showcase the wonderful tin ceiling and walls.   Shown below are some final touches being done (the base boards being installed) and the beautiful old growth fir floor that we salvaged from the inventory shelves on the second story of the building.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2004:  Our second floor is now open for business!  Here you will find an amazing collection of ARTS AND CRAFTS FURNITURE signed by the masters and some Generic pieces.
CLASSIC CREATIONS: Jason has moved his complete line of Classic Creations up to our second floor.  Here you can see his samples of Fireplace Mantles, Entertainment Centers, and other Classic reproductions.  Don't miss his new Cherry Arts and Crafts mantle!
Bob Stanlaske Woodworking, one of our new staff members, has introduced his personal line of hand built Windsor Chairs and Period Reproductions.  He invites you to come and SIT in the chairs.  You can see his samples UPSTAIRS also.
Also UPSTAIRS:  Overflow of Downstairs pieces and our Used but Not Abused line of furniture from the 1800's up to the 1990's.

Great new amenities:  Free parking in the Centralia City Lot immediately behind our building with easy loading and unloading right out our back doors!  And always free parking on our city streets right in front.
Now we are right in the heart of "Antique Alley" in Centralia.  You can get your free maps of all the antique shops and restaurants right here.
We are also a block away from the Amtrak Train Depot in Centralia:  Easy walking.
Driving Directions are slightly different.  If you are coming into Centralia via Exit 82 and Main Street,  merely go to the second stop light where Tower (one way going North) intersects Main and take a left.  We are located in the second block on the left side of the street.

Financing Now Available!
In recent years, you may have noticed the rising cost of buying good quality antiques. We have! Furnishings of the quality we sell have gone past the realm of just "used furniture" and into the "antique." We offer a standard 60 day Layaway program with three equal payments to help you out, OR......

*** Up the Creek now offers a Contract Sale Agreement with our Customers when purchasing those "Dream Antiques".  We charge an office charge  of 1% per month on your unpaid balance.  Charges start accruing on the first full month after your initial down payment.  This offers a lot more flexibility with your payments as far as amounts you pay and allows you to stretch them out a little further as opposed to our traditional Layaway Plan.  Ask a sales person about the Contract Sale Agreement with Up the Creek.

2006 Brings Big Changes Behind the Scenes!

After living over 15 miles from town and enjoying one of the most beautiful valleys in Washington for 28 years,  we have sold the farm and moved our entire restoration and warehouse operation closer to town.  In the past year, we have been building a new 6,000 sq ft Restoration Center.  As our progress becomes more photographable, we will show you some of the improvements we have made to this end of our business.  Future Plans for this Restoration Center might include classes given by our staff. We will also be accepting select projects for restoration from our customers.  Call our store to inquire.  (800) 246-0868 or the Woodshop directly: 360-736-3529
